People ask me all the time how I came up with the name Teahouse Creatives.
To be honest, I have to tell them I didn't.
I am a digital and design nomad, building my portfolio and skills even as I develop my view of the world.
My design journey began as I worked with startups and communication firms that served the association and nonprofit worlds. It’s been a long 11 years since those days, but what I’ve learned on the way has granted me a deeper understanding of the world around me, how people think, and where to find creative solutions that cannot be seen without a view of the big picture.
With those experiences as my backdrop, my focus has become threefold: I seek to help entrepreneurs and organizations define and align with a purpose; to provide personal service and deliver design projects on time and on budget; and to design for my clients an online presence that aligns with their brands.
Although I consistently work with a variety of businesses, my favorite challenges are with industries looking to embrace new technologies.
When not assisting my clients, I spend my time outdoors adventuring or strategizing my next meal in the kitchen or online. A good view paired with the quest for that sought after bite or secret recipe has taken me on incredible adventures.
I work because I love what I do.
That love started early. Because my parents owned a business, entrepreneurialism was in the air, water, and all around. The talk of sales and marketing was comforting and invigorating dinner table conversation. Celebrating business victories large and small were all a part of my upbringing.
I’ve since lived in several states and traveled across the globe, including a year spent in Israel with visits to 10 other countries. During my travels I learned that businesses around the world are not so different after all. We all share a common thread of passion and commitment.
I’ve witnessed the culture and economies of many different people, communities, and cultures. I’ve been a part of countless businesses, helping craft their communications with customers and finding their unique voices in oversaturated marketplaces.
Now, as I juggle the joys and struggles of motherhood and life as an Army wife, I have found my passion for work to be even greater than ever before. I take my clients’ successes and struggles on, and walk through it all with them.
